🇺🇸🇮🇷 THIS IS A HISTORIC MOMENT.

Exiled Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi says he has accepted the responsibility to lead a transition for Iran once the Islamic regime is removed.

“The Iranian people have called on me to lead the transition after the regime is gone. I have accepted that responsibility.”

He says the goal is an orderly transition, national stability, and letting Iranians decide their future through the ballot box.

For millions of Iranians who have waited decades for this possibility… this is emotional.

Freaking dilettante playboy, hasn’t been in Iran in almost 50 years, has never held a job in his life. And his dad ran nut-shocking SAVAK.... IF he even goes to Iran, he’ll be dead in a few weeks.

But he’s the Mossad choice.

Reza is the people’s choice. Every video I see coming out of Iran showing the situation there on the streets, the people are always praising him. Now they are staying off the streets and everyone yells out their windows the very same praise. Mossad my arse.

He will simply fill and lead the transition to a democratic republic. We will help him behind the scenes. He has stated this multiple times.

There will be a return to normalcy if Reza returns. However, he is a deadman if he tries to return before the all the Mullahs, police, and revolutionaries are eliminated or neutered - a tall order indeed.

It would be good if he really were the “Mossad choice” but Mossad doesn’t get to choose who’ll wind up leading the Iranian government. He certainly is at least known yo speak well and he seems intelligent and civilized. Also he realizes that it is USA that can help him lead a rebuilding of a civilized society for his home country. And he’s on record pledging peace with USA, Arab neighbors, and Israel.

There are other possible leaders less known to me from afar. People who are in Iran now.

We will see who, what emerges. One thing I can predict is that neither USA nor Israel will permit nuclear bombs or missiles ever again in Iran. And the Arabs will support this. Nobody likes being threatened or bombed …

Apparently Trump is wary of Reza. Trump recently described him as a “nice person” but said he wants someone from inside Iran.

I read an interesting article the other day written by a conservative who was warning about Reza. He said Reza is well intentioned but naive and has surrounded himself with people who will nudge him towards a power sharing arrangement that accommodates the Islamists. He said the IRGC would quickly outmaneuver Reza under such an arrangement and return to power.

Submitted FWIW but it seems like a perspective worth considering.

Well, wrong as usual. Pahlavi has been the govt in exile for 47 years. The Iranian people trust him and want him to lead the transition. Its nothing to do with Israel. 🙄
