Mr. President @realDonaldTrump, I am one of your biggest supporters and I am urging you as someone who is in the Texas grassroots: do NOT endorse Cornyn.
It will be one of your biggest mistakes.
The majority of Texas voters voted AGAINST Cornyn last night. We don’t want him!

We should all be pissed at Mr. 14%, Wesley Hunt for being the spoiler in this race. The run-off will be long, expensive. Cornyn will probably have access to senate funds. What about Paxton? Will he be able to raise enough to fight off what I expect will be Cornyn mud slinging? And what reassurance do we have that the majority of the 14% that went for Wesley would go for Paxton?
As you can see I have more questions than answers. In the meantime, the media keeps telling us how wonderful Talarico is.
Question: If POTUS leveraged Thune’s fervent desire for a Cornyn endorsement into a guaranteed agreement regarding the filibuster, recess appointments, and judge approvals, would anyone’s mind be changed about the runoff?
I predict that if the Rino is the nominee, he will lose. Trump needs to stay out of this. Paxton would do better without Trump endorsement.
Me thinkin Pax will beat Cornyn in the runoff anyway.
Again, who has the better chance of beating Beto 2.0? I’m not willing to risk Senate control. If it’s Cornyn, so be it.
Lose the Senate, and Trump’s agenda comes to a screeching halt for the remainder of his Presidency. Some of you need to wake up and think of the long game here.
Trump isn’t going to listen but I think he shouldn’t give it for nothing. Cornyn can put pressure on Thune pass then save act, to get rid of blue slips, go after rogue judges. SOMETHING. To give him something for nothing is not the best thing here.
They won’t stay home but Rove types regularly throw elections when they don’t get their way.
At least Lindsey Graham licks DJT’s shoes for an election endorsement.
Cornyn just gets John Thune, Tim Scott, Lisa Murkowski, and Thom Tillis to try and shame DJT into endorsing him.
Do you believe Cornyn can even get much more than a mumble out against the Harvard liberal?
I just saw Rove on TV this morning talking about how great Cornyn is and he’s known his as a “good friend for many decades.” Rove is such a damn weenie. Useless.
The sheep don’t care who their gop and dem masters are.
Cornyn is the biggest fake in the Senate.
I know him well.
He’s not a good person, is a leftist with nothing but contempt for MAGA, and pretends to be conservative every 6 years.
Question: If POTUS leveraged Thune’s fervent desire for a Cornyn endorsement into a guaranteed agreement regarding the filibuster, recess appointments, and judge approvals, would anyone’s mind be changed about the runoff?

I find that sort of vote farming repugnant. Also, trusting power hungry RINOS and democrats seldom reaps profit for the “good guys”
It is repugnant.
It’s also the only way for President Trump to get things done, legislatively, with THIS Congress.
So do you lose being principled or win being pragmatic?
Really tired of the gaslighting that it will be close so we have to pick a Rino cause he’ll do better.

Here’s the math
150,00 more democrats voted in the primary than republicans. That’s a pretty good predictor of turnout in the fall.
You have to make the case that independents will go overwhelmingly for any republican. They’re about +-25% of the Texas electorate. They are very volatile.
If Cornyn were a true Maga Conservative he would be senator as long as he wanted to be. He is not a real conservative. Texas does not want him anymore.
The Hunt voters will all be voting for Paxton; especially after all the lies Cornyn told about Hunt.
Hunt and Paxton have been very polite to each other. They have a pact that the primary goal in this race is to get rid of Cornyn.
Almost all of Hunt’s 14% will voting for Paxton after all the lies Cornyn-supporting PACs said about Hunt.
People outside of Texas just don’t comprehend how much hatred conservatives have for Cornyn.
Cornyn has no chance of beating Paxton; and don’t be surprised when Hunt endorses Paxton, and even campaigns for Paxton.
Meanwhile, the Democrats consistently nominate the most extreme radical candidates, who win in the blue states. Voters say they like moderates, but they'll vote party line over and over.
