I got up early and saw about 60% coverage. There were clouds on the horizon and so hid the total phase as the moon declined in the west.

I’ve seen these enough to know what it looks like. Still it never gets old.

Wife and I got up to see the totality. Clear skies west of Tucson. I’ve seen several lunar eclipses, but this was her first.

I’ve only seen two total solar eclipses, in 1979 and 2017 (we both saw the latter). Next one visible from the U.S. will be in 2044. I hope to see that one too, if I’m still around at 89.
