When it comes to striking Iran, Donald Trump has been consistent for 47 years. Look at this clip from October 1980 when he called for military intervention to free American hostages taken during the Iranian Revolution. Also FYI: during his 2016,2020 and 2024 presidential campaigns, he consistently said multiple times that Iran "will never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon." Below is the 1980 transcript:

The Iranian situation is a case in point. That they hold our hostages is just absolutely and totally ridiculous. That this country sits back and allows a country such as Iran to hold our hostages to my way of thinking is a horror and i don't think they'd do it with other countries. I honestly don't think they'd do it with other countries."
Rona Barrett: "Obviously you're advocating that we should have gone in there with troops et cetera and brought our boys out."
Donald Trump: "I absolutely feel that yes. I don't think there's any question in it, there's no question in my mind.I think right now we'd be an oil-rich nation and I believe that we should have done it and I'm very disappointed that we didn't do it and i don't think anybody would have held us in abeyance. I don't think anybody would have been angry with us and we had every right to do it at the time. I think we've lost the opportunity."

There was and is no justification for a war with Iran that costs American lives. And, we've already lost at least six American lives.
This war will be political catastrophe if lose significant more Americans in an unnecessary war that Trump promised for three election cycles to keep us out of. That means Democrats back in power and destroying the country.

Most people don’t realize that Iran has been at war with us since 1979. They just don’t shoot at us very often and when they do, they try to make sure there is reasonable doubt that it is them doing it. But they still shoot at us and Israel.
It’s rather telling that people are claiming this “war” will lead to more terrorism as if Iran is a terrorist nation.

He campaigned on no NEW wars. Since then, he has cleaned up one war after another, except the ridiculous Ukraine/Russia mutual destruction, for which he has cut funding. And now he is cleaning up this war that until the weekend was a one-sided war conducted by Iran against us, Western Civilization, and its own people. It is by no means a new war.
You can also count on him not to support any policies that would turn the Iran situation into a 20-year debacle, as did Bush, Obama, Hillary and Biden.
