My favorite version--by the King of Rock and Roll--and he's still rocking!
Long, Tall Sally--Pat Boone (1956)

Wife and I saw Little Richard probably 20 years ago. He put on a great show. As far as Long Tall Sally, covered by many, Paul McCartney did my favorite cover version.

You’re talking about Jimi Hendrix before Purple Haze and his version of Johnny B. Goode.

I love the scene in Predator where Sgt. Blaine Cooper is playing Long Tall Sally in the chopper. The lyrics always made me wonder...
- What "speed" is Sally built for?
- What did Uncle John need?
- Why was Aunt Mary lookin for Uncle John?
- And what kind of 'fun' Did Uncle John have with Sally?
I think we all know (nudge, nudge, wink, wink). Potentially racy lyrics for airplay in that era.
