I can't fathom some acquaintances of mine, all seemingly decent people with plenty of common sense, who still vote for or at least identify as Democrats - yellow dog, blue dog, what have you.

They're mostly older people (70s +) who live in some sort of time warp as though today's Democrats were just more recent versions of Hubert Humphrey or Tip O'Neill as opposed to lunatics like Kamala Harris or Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez who want to tax and regulate small businesses out if existence, open the borders to the worst dregs of the Third World, "defund" the police and border patrol/ICE, cripple public and private institutions with DEI hires, and express support everything from Islamist terror to "transgenderism".

Even if they dislike Trump or some "Great Society" programs, that's no excuse for supporting the type of insanity being peddled by today's Democrats.
