Polls in Texas opened last Tuesday. Good news is that it looks like the Democrats aren’t crossing over in large number to disrupt the Texas senate primary. In Dallas county last week, 70,000 voted in the Democrat primary; 23,000 in the Republican primary.

In Tarrant county it was 51,000 democrat ballots and 34,000 Republican.

Good news in one sense as RINOs will not benefit from Democrats crossing over to support the more moderate Republican candidate. Bad news in another sense in that Democrats appear to be more motivated to vote than are Republicans.

The Dems do have a hot primary battle. I do wonder if Republicans are the ones crossing over this time. Dems are running a Black female against a white male. It was a 3 way race, but the Black male was persuaded to drop out.

Democrats continue to expand their turnout edge in Texas through Day 4 of early voting — nearly 50k more votes cast in the Democratic primary than the Republican primary
