Like I said, I agree. Canada knew the rules and played with them for the whole Olympics.

I just don't like the rule. I didn't like it when the NHL adopted it, and I don't like it now.

That is because the Canadian Men’s hockey team choked.
They were heavily favored to win the gold medal.
If you looked at their team on paper they should have beat every other team by huge goal margins.
Yet, they did not. They barely beat other teams to get to the Gold/Silver round.
