An old article but I searched the title and did not find it.

When it came to physics, Newton was a genius, a revolutionary genius.
💡

But I’m less confident about any predictions he made outside of his area of expertise. Sort of like a master plumber telling me what the price of gold will be five years from now.

Newton and the Exploitation of Science

Newton was an alchemist who probably had mercury poisoning from using it as a regent to try to make gold.

After 2012 and the Mayan calender debacle I haven’t had much to look forward to. 2060 is year I can get behind.

, determined that Armageddon will be upon us in 2060.

If you want to get serious about this subject—figure out the future history date at which Star Trek says warp drive will be discovered. I asked AI about this. here is the answer:

In official Star Trek canon (primarily Star Trek: First Contact and reflected across Enterprise, Voyager, The Next Generation, etc., as documented on Memory Alpha), warp drive was discovered/invented and first successfully used by humanity on April 5, 2063.
Here are the precise details from canon:

Zefram Cochrane (a human scientist/engineer working in Bozeman, Montana, in the post-World War III era) developed the warp drive technology during the 2060s.
He and his team (including Lily Sloane) built the Phoenix, a converted Titan II nuclear missile turned warp ship, with design work dating back to at least 2059 (per the ship’s blueprint).
The first successful manned warp flight — the moment warp drive was demonstrated to break the light-speed barrier and thus “discovered/used for the first time” in practical, history-changing terms — took place on April 5, 2063 (launch around 11:00 a.m. local time).

Of course it could be only a coincidence that Newton’s prediction comes at roughly the same time as warp drive.

imho warp drive may come sooner because back in the 1990’s ray kurizweil predicted that the singularity would arrive in the 2040’s. but now the best minds are saying we have entered the singularity.

Many of the best minds of the age are saying that AI will enable us to develop a new physics in the next year or two. That new physics is what will enable the creation of a warp drive to get people to the stars.

Quote-The two were at odds because the Church preached the doctrine of the Trinity, something which Newton strongly rejected under the belief that God has no equals. __

Who did Newton believe Jesus was if Jesus is not God? How did Newton understand the core doctrines of the New Testament? What was his issue regarding the Holy Spirit not being God? Was Newton holding on to tenets of Judaism while claiming to be an Anglican?
Newton definitely did not believe in core doctrines of the New Testament and I’d like to see how he would use the New Testament to justify his position on the Trinity.
