I wonder if he actually intended to exit, when the other vehicle cut in front and he veered left to avoid it. And the driver in the lead in the white vehicle definitely made a dangerous maneoveur which caused the accident. I don't think it was planned, but it could have gone the other way if the ICE vehicle didn't swerve. All three of them would be swapping insurance information.
