I really really miss Art Bell.
I trusted him more than Any other broadcaster cause he was honest, and while he did take some political stands rarely, but was always willing to listen to an opinion different than his and was not afraid to call BS on stuff and go to open lines.
And I will always remember the original area 51 broadcast where the guy flying his plane over it was shot down
It was a job. A gig.

I never heard of him or Coast to Coast am until around 6 or 7 years ago with George Noory.
Heard a few of the classics. I should join the archive service and listen to the others.
Great moment was the mysterious guy alone at night the remote region phone booth saying “I really shouldn’t be telling you this but....” as the entire area’s power shut off the TV and radio networks and their satellite feeds. Somebody up there didn’t like him.
