Plus, he had so much heroin in his system he would have been unconscious before he could have even pulled the needle from his arm. Over three times a lethal dose.

I would assume that if someone is shot in the head with a shotgun, their body might contort based on automatic uncontrolled muscle contraction and eventual rigor mortis....
