Sitting down to put your socks on, seeing previous clothes come back into fashion and asking 'who?' when watching the Brit Awards are all signs you are getting on.

The study was by American Pistachio Growers, which has partnered with actor John Thomson, 56, to urge mid-life adults to age positively.

1. Talking about aches and pains with friends

2. Groaning when bending down

3. Preferring quiet venues to noisy ones

4. Preferring a quiet drink over a night out

5. Enjoying an early night

6. Not caring about the latest fashion trends

7. Thinking that new music isn't as good as it used to be

8. A recurring ache that doesn't disappear

9. Using phrases like 'back in my day' or 'remember when*?'

10. Sitting down to put socks on

11. Caring less about how you look

12. Taking shoes off as soon as you get inside - slippers have become a necessity!

13. Noticing something you wore in your youth is now back in fashion

14. Starting conversations with 'Do you remember when*?'

15. Reading menus at arm's length

16. Talking to yourself

17. Moaning about politics

18. Feeling more confident/self-assured

19. Getting up at 6am naturally

20. First 'Who?' when watching the Brit Awards

21. Looking forward to gardening

22. Feeling confounded by AI

FWIW, my all time favorite Chicago Album is the first one. That is true “raw” Chicago. It is awesome!

So much talent in one band. One of my favorite things on that album is Bobby Lamm’s piano solo before “Does Anybody Know What Time It Is?”

Absofrickinlutely. I remember when I bought that album when it first came out. I could not believe what I was hearing on a modern “pop/rock” album!

BTW, regarding my comment on the Taylor Swift 1989 album. Listen to “Blank Space”. The drums are incredibly “boring”. It’s obviously a drum track, and it NEVER changes. No fills or anything. They simply cut out the drum track when they want it silent. Like I said, formulaic.

And it’s not the only song that does that. The stuff is all throw away pop. It’s not made to be listened to on your high end hi-fi 30 years later, in the same vein of Ricky Lee Jones “We Belong Together”.

It’s classic ephemeral stuff - just like so much of the disco stuff.

I used to love bands. I miss them. Now we get some bimbo gyrating on stage in silly costumes lip sinking about how they been done wrong by guys and they are gal powerful. 🙄🤪

Bands with guys have pretty much gone extinct. Instead we get crap like Bad Bunny.

The main difference here in NH we wear boots in the winter.
There is rock salt and other ice melter products on my driveway and sidewalk.
I do not want to bring that salt/sand and dirt into my house.

Then in March/April it is MUD season.

Then finally come May, June , July, August, Sept you may not need shoes.

So, depending on the temperature. Dictates the required footwear.
Today it is boat shoes. Tomorrow it is supposed to snow again. It will be back to Timberline hiking boots. We are supposed to get another 3-6” by Saturday morning.
