YouTube was reportedly down in the USA on Tuesday. At the time of writing, Downdetector logged over 2,80,000 people facing outage issues with YouTube.
Most of the issues appeared to be with the app, but some complained of troubles with the website as well. Users reported issues with YouTube TV too, with Downdetector logging over 7000 complaints at the time of writing.
YouTube is yet to address the outage and no cause for the ree video sharing site to go down is known yet.
Several people took to social media and the Downdetector comments section to express the problems they were facing.

It just came back automatically on the computer, but had to send in a code they give you on the TV and send it in on the computer. All of this security stuff these days is always a source of anxiety.
It was down a while ago but seems to be back up and running now here in SoCal.
Thank God, once in a while millions get some well deserved rest from YT garbage.... Long it may continue

I had trouble with it a couple of hours ago but its OK now.

Mine just rebooted itself after several hours.
It’s not all garbage. I am one third of the way through Chuck Missler’s Genesis series. I recommend it.
I was watching videos on my laptop when YouTube want out for only like 5 minutes.
Yeah, I was unable to log in to use the YouTube app on my AppleTV 4K set top box.

I had the same thing.
It kept prompting me to sign in with Google.
When I turned off my cell phone, for some reason it let my Roku back in,,,then when I turned my cell phone back on it kicked my Roku out again.
I turned off my cell, and I was able to get Roku to open up my YouTube channel again.
Coincidence?
