By the 1980s, the patents had long ran out on many of the required immunizations. They were profitable to make, but just barely. The military was finding it difficult to source enough supply. The profits were marginal, but the liability was off scale. So they stopped making them, there was little upside and a whole lot of downside.

That’s how “immunity” and not the medical kind, came to the forefront. Pharmaceutical companies agreed to manufacture the vaccines. They did have a point, I suppose. If you inject several million people with even a sterile saline solution, a couple people will probably die.

The "herd" is vaccinated to protect the "owners", not the herd, and the "owners" don't care if some of the herd dies from it as long as the owners are protected.

And typical of working with government, as the government wanted more and more shots for rarer and rarer conditions, instead of paying astronomical prices for each one, they bundled each new shot with existing requirements - hence children "requiring" dozens of shots.
