Baloney. Russia wanted to sell gas and trade. They were never going to invade Europe. That’s a neocon and defense industry fantasy.
The war didn’t start until we pushed west and chest bumped them, conducted a bloody coup, stated an intent to make Sevastopol a NATO navy base and then the Kiev government attacked the Donbass for the crime of opting out of the coup. They shelled the place for 8 years killing over 10k living there. They were massing for a final attack.
The Russians spent months asking for talks.
We flipped them the finger and literally said we would do as we pleased.
The Russians spent decades trying to be a normal country in relations to the west. They weren’t going to invade Europe.
Zelensky is working overtime in the PR area these days. But here is hotlinked proof that some Ukrainians have already threatened Hungary, a NATO and EU member.

Russias goal was not conquest, it was grabbing the land where their Russian speaking compatriots live, and ensuring access to the Black Sea.
The US sponsored coup in Ukraine started this entire fiasco.

The Polish army is tough, and modern. Russia cannot even beat Ukraine. How could Russia handle Poland, let alone any EU coalition that might come to Poland’s aid?
