HOUSTON, Texas (KBTX) -A Kansas woman has been sentenced to federal prison after making false claims that astronaut Anne McClain illegally accessed her bank account while deployed to the International Space Station, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
Summer Heather Worden, 51, of Sedgwick County, Kansas, pleaded guilty on November 14, 2025, to making false, fictitious, and fraudulent statements and representations to law enforcement. U.S. District Judge Alfred H. Bennett sentenced her to three months in federal prison, followed by two years of supervised release. The court also ordered Worden to pay $210,000 in restitution.
In July 2019, Worden alleged that her estranged spouse, astronaut Anne McClain, had guessed her password and illegally accessed her bank account while deployed to the International Space Station. However, evidence presented at sentencing showed the allegations were unfounded.
An investigation revealed that Worden had opened the bank account in April 2018, and both parties had accessed it until January 2019, when Worden changed the account credentials. Investigators determined that Worden had actually granted her spouse access to her bank records, including login credentials, as early as 2015.

AstroHomo...who knew?
Well, alphabet mafia folks do have higher rates of domestic abuse, so there’s that.
One way to prevent ISS pregnancies: send lesbians.
“A Kansas woman has been sentenced to federal prison after making false claims that astronaut Anne McClain illegally accessed her bank account..”
I had to read that about 5 times before my confused brain got it. Oh, they’re from the planet Lezbo.
Astronauts have really gone downhill since Neil Armstrong.
AstroLesbo, or for the more literary, AstroSappho seems more descriptive here.
I am actually shocked you can be put in prison for accusing your spouse of raiding your bank account, while our elections have been rigged/stolen since 2008 and no has gone to prison.
Yes, that one just flows off the tongue.
But if a woman lies about a guy r@ping her...typically nothing happens to her.
I see what you did there.
This is one of the logistical problems of “the law”.
If it is easy to prove something the court system can be very efficient in punishment of minor infractions.
If it is hard to prove something then any crime, no matter how horrific, can remain unpunished.
It’s going to happen eventually ... I’m halfway surprised it hasn’t yet.
Would NASA, Roscosmos, etc. admit it?
And murders, rapists and thieves get set free.
Hell hath no fury like a Lesbian scorned.
We can make the punishment a lot more severe. Like if you accuse someone of a crime where the maximum punishment is 20 years, and you lied about it. Then your punishment should be 20 years.
if you lied about a crime that would punish the person you blamed for 6 months in jail, then you should get 6 months in jail.
Sounds like a plot line for the new season of For All Mankind
