True story: A woman my late wife and I knew told us her female psychiatrist told her “The underlying cause of your mental issues is the effect of the sexist male dominated society we live in.”
Leaving for a plane she told us: “I’ve got the new issue of Ms I just bought so I have something good to read.”
Yes her shrink is undoubted a female ‘counselor.’ They are worse than their patients. They simply reinforce and egg on the satisfaction of identifying with the victim. When counselors do this, it is what real psychologists call ‘colluding with the pathology.’
