Why didn’t she have servants living with her? A cook? butler? Maid? Nurse? Who cleaned her house—you can bet she didn’t do it herself. Why no big dog? or even a small one. As a rich woman didn’t she know she might be a target? Did she even own a gun? Even a small one? Heck, its Arizona. If it had been me I would have had a pair of Great Danes, and a big “Butler-Valet,” an Afghan War vet, to live with me.
Nancy Guthrie probably did not have any servants living with her because she is a very independent woman. She is reputed to be of sound mind. She has plenty of money to have people do everything she needs without having someone live with her.
Using Uber just factors into her wanting to be independent. It still strikes me as very strange to take an Uber to go 4 miles to her own daughter‘s house instead of being driven by her daughter or SIL.
