In the video where he first approaches the house, you can see the mouth flashlight briefly turn on and shine down on his jacket as he walks hunched-over. It’s only on for a second or so before it turns off again, but the rapid way it turns on and off give it away as a flashlight.
If you clean up the image, it clearly looks like a cigarette but who knows.
