They may record what you watch, but they don’t have cameras (typically).

Example. Samsung Smart TV (I have one-—older smart model....but never connected to the internet or a streaming service).

Camera location.

I watched a video that proved some smart TVs do have hidden cameras in them and the reporter showed how it was working and basically looked like a full view of the room the tv was in. He did some computer hack and was able to view whatever was in view in front of the tv and that with the IP address, this could be viewed anywhere in the world.
