One of the most interesting things about solving that case was that the brother and SIL recognized a phrase in the manifesto which was used correctly that most people misuse, and which Ted always said correctly, i.e., “You can’t eat your cake and have it, too”. Most say, “You can’t have your cake and eat it, too.” (The common usage makes no sense; the other one actually does.)
That must’ve jumped off the page, screaming, it’s so obvious.
