Just my opinion. She was selfish. She was hurt. This outcome seems obvious. She could have shown class and selflessness by giving her slot to the alternate waiting for her shot. But that’s just me.

You’re probably right. Athletes, however, especially at those levels of commitment, generally have an exaggerated self-belief that pushes them. Think of every boxer who should have quit before becoming damaged for life.

Jack Youngblood, Hall of Fame DE who played for the Los Angeles Rams, started the Super Bowl and played the entire game with a broken leg.

Actually, he broke his leg in the 1979 divisional round of the playoffs and played the NFC title game and Super Bowl XIV with a broken fibula.

Yea, that's just you and it's based on complete ignorance. There is no "giving up her slot", and what makes you think there is in the sport of alpine skiing at the olympics.?
