Legendary Team USA alpine skier Lindsey Vonn had to be airlifted from the course and underwent surgery on her left leg after crashing in her women's downhill run. It was the 41-year-old's first Olympic event since 2018 and comes just over a week after she suffered a torn ACL...

Ok. Google slow to admit this
I avoid the Olympics because as a combat veteran with a basic civics education, aware that the country chooses the president, I can’t take hearing these uneducated people whose families and coaches and other enablers who are so luxury and debt slaved that they can’t say ‘you want to bad mount the country- you’re off the team”
So I’ve missed her blathering:
From 2017
“I hope to represent the people of the United States, not the president.”
That is idiotic
And anti American
Can’t they just play and shut up to the press
Herb Brooks would not have allowed it. Well, he was fiscally solvent most likely.
I don’t know of her but:
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
U.S. Olympic Skier, Hunter Hess, a real Loser, says he doesn’t represent his Country in the current Winter Olympics. If that’s the case, he shouldn’t have tried out for the Team, and it’s too bad he’s on it. Very hard to root for someone like this. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Thank you President Trump. So hard to root for these horr people. Where are their coaches on this? Have they no responsibility. Where are their wimp families.
Did any Doctors clear her to compete with this injury ?
I doubt it .
This was just stupid and dangerous for the staff working the Hill.
Vonn and done.
Anyone who would “date” Tiger Woods after revelations about his sex life enjoys “living on the edge.”
When she realizes she has hit the wall will be really ugly.
Who could’ve seen her leg giving out a week after a torn acl. Selfish c&*t. She took the spot of someone who might have had a better chance. Why did they let her compete only a week after a torn acl???
The fibula is the bone which was broken. That is the thinner, generally non weight bearing bone in the lower leg. The tibia is the weight bearing bone.
He was juiced on pain killers while playing. If someone had fallen onto that leg during the game....yikes...
We don’t know what later problems he has from that bone break.
Either way...very gutsy, brave, tough, and foolhardy
IIRC-—SHE EARNED THAT “SLOT” IN QUALIFYING, ETC.
A fool for doing so.
Sometimes you gotta know when to hang it up.
A woman’s got to know her limitations.

"That's a hell of a price to pay for being stylish"
Her left hand / pole snagged the course flag in mid air. Huge and serious mistake.
Pain could have been a distraction.well, she tried and found out that her body is slowly breaking down. About the time in the life....early 40’s.
She’s competitive she’ll be in the paralympics in soon
Early 40s eyes are not as reactive
Her ego cost another person a spot on the team.
She did earn it. Then she got hurt in training. Partial tear of ACL. Should have pulled out. Again. Just my opinion. She hurt the team by keeping her spot. And cost an up and comer from their dream.
Yea, that's just you and it's based on complete ignorance. There is no "giving up her slot", and what makes you think there is in the sport of alpine skiing at the olympics.?
