Much popular speculation says Mossad, and it’s not worth talking about because 100% of the time on other forums conversation degrades from there.
For my part “almost certainly for one or more intelligence agencies” suffices — and at the least whether we ever get any of the marks/Johns on criminal charges, they need to be removed from any office or position of responsibility because of that. (At minimum!— if all was made known it’d probably be a pitchfork and torch situation unless that makes someone think those wacky 17th-letter-people were right. Ha. Ha.)
Remember when drugs, perversion and other ill behavior disqualified people from jobs because they might be put under blackmail? Now -unless- something can be blackmailed they are not able to ascend.

Thanks for making me look it up! I was able to download “The Prisoner” and have watched 4 episodes. Wow! I think you had to be on LSD to appreciate the 60’s! That is one, wild show.
