I remember the outside talk on global warming that had to be cancelled because it was so unseasonably cold that people pressured them to re-schedule it indoors. Brrrrrrr.

And I really wish I could find the printed source I distinctly remember when Al Gore said: (close paraphrase) “We are about to experience a string of ‘years without a winter.’ The calendar will show winter but the weather will have a few brief freezes off and on but unseasonably warm all year round
even in the northern and northeastern states.”

Never happened.

I remember the Detroit Tigers TV announcer who lived in Arizona asking his partner on a cold, windy late May day in Detroit: “You come from Michigan. Tell me, does it ever get warm here?” Cold records were broken many times that year and the next.

Opening day photo in April had snow on the seats and the caption “There was supposed to be a ball game but snow on the field brought a postponement.”

Years ago (2006?) ManBearPig organized concerts on all continents during the northern hemisphere summer for something (global warming?). ManBearPig could not understand why a out outdoor concert could not be held in Antarctica.
