My experience with British cars was in the early 70’s, I worked on a lot of them as a mechanic out of high school. They were always quirky cars. The early XKE Jaguars were fun to drive but really miserable to work on.

There are several outfits making a fair amount of money installing small block Chevrolet engines/transmissions in Jaguars.
