With all that’s happening in the world, why am I writing about the video of a Karen repeatedly cackling “F off” to a cluster of duck hunters? Because it proves the broader point that leftists cannot present fact-based arguments about the issues successfully. Even the few who can choose not to because the goal isn’t to win the debate but to prosecute the violent overthrow of America. Screaming, swearing, violence, and mayhem facilitate that more than a genteel conversation in the public square.
But first, a confession: I’m no prude when it comes to swearing and have been known to throw the F word around with reckless abandon. But I wasn’t raised that way.
I was raised to believe and believe to this day, even as the filthy words spill out of my mouth, that swearing is not only uncouth and demonstrates a lack of decorum, but also that it can reflect a lack of education or creativity in expression. My parents wisely counseled my siblings and me that, to be taken seriously, we needed to find ways to express ourselves without swearing, explaining that one day we’d appear before a judge, boss, or client and would have to make a convincing argument without cussing.
That sentiment was once universal in American culture, but not so today. Swearing seems to have become an accepted form of expression, ubiquitous in contemporary music, on most TV shows, and all over the internet. Our politicians and entertainers openly swear. Even our presidents!
How often are you in a public place surrounded by certain individuals loudly talking on the speaker phone, and every other word is the F word in all its permutations?

Grow up? No. If it’s not a sign of lack of intelligence, it’s the lack of use of intelligence.
We were always told it was more intelligent to not use cursing, that it exercises one’s vocabulary. My friend has a PhD from Princeton, he’s a professor. We chat about current events. He’s smart enough to like Trump a lot, from the start. MAGAhat and all. If I ever cursed around him I imagine he would think I am dumb.
I think it’s an effect of uncensored social media.
There are 7 words you can’t say on TV. For a reason. They’re bad words. Podcasts don’t have censorship. Joe Rogan doesn’t stop using terrible language. I won’t listen to him.
I can listen to Tim Dillon. He uses terrible cursing language. Can see my cousin Vinny once a week. I’m a grown up.
What’s the difference? I think it’s appropriateness of usage. Vinny doesn’t curse in courtroom
Dillon uses cursing as an expression of emotion, reacting to people’s actions. He comes by it honestly he grew up hanging around with kids on Long Island. Like I did. Cursing is part of the vernacular. You learn that you don’t curse in most company

Maybe. But the lack of self constraint and social skills in the indiscriminate use of curse words is dumb.
It is not appropriate to curse in a business setting, a work setting. It’s dumb free republic does not allow cursing so I have followed it for many years. I cannot follow news chats which allow cursing. They’re disgusting and offensive and dumb.

I often post that people who use the “F” word were raised as gutter trash.
I rarely heard that word in public till the movies dumped the Hays Code and went to a joke of a ratings system (GMRX) to reign in violence. Instead it released a flood of the most vile movies ever made to get the “R” and “X” ratings.
So young people today mimic what they hear on the screen and think it is normal.
I always thought it was a shortening of the word “Fecundity”.
I never use the term as to me it shows people who use it were raised as gutter trash.
I knew rural people when growing up who considered the word “darn” to be as bad as “damn”, which was a forbidden word. The “f” word was so bad it was never mentioned in any way. Language changes over time.
And with a low range of mental capacity.

I think some people feign their being offended by a lot of things just for appearance’s sake. They must feel that it shows how refined and sophisticated their sensibilities are when it’s really the furthest thing from the truth.
Virtue Signaling
I grew up associating swear words with anger. Never did it much, could be around those that did and I just tuned out the words.
But I have noticed it takes considerable skills to swear properly, meaning used rarely and at the proper time.
Liberals do not have the skill.
The use of vulgarities is a linguistic crutch used by inarticulate mutherfukkers.
I can no longer respect you.

He believes that using the “f” word gives him gravitas, instead it made him look like the food he is - protecting vicious illegal alien criminals who prey on Americans.
It’s “virtue” signaling for the unvirtuous. Like when Maduro insists that he’s a decent man.
but I can’t respect those who are easily offended by them.
Words communicate much. What comes out of the mouth reveals what is inside us. If all that comes out of you is swear words, what’s inside you?
I don’t care for swearing either. The words add nothing to the communication process. Think about it.
Some words are offensive to God, those I care about and those do show their heart. Once in awhile one comes out of me.
Same here on the MENSA thing. But I’m 74 and I do think the constant use of the F word, and I have a young friend who is guilty of it, does show a lack of IQ at some level. I have been known to throw a few around, more now than I should, but it takes more mental effort to speak coherently and with class. Talking like you’re affected by Tourette’s syndrome isn’t very classy and makes you sound unintelligent.
