sorry, i gotta agree with this. 75 is old enough.
I agree to the problem is that we can always look at the outliers of those in old age that can continue to do the job but then the majority of those over 75 cant but over there life time have built a power base that keeps them in office despite the fact that they are not capable and have not been capable for years.
Being younger than 75 is no assurance that the individual will necessarily have clarity of thought or logical thinking. The rate at which minds go into decline is a widely variable factor, with some persons of past a century of age will be as sharp as they were at 40, and others will have encroaching brain fog at age 50 or earlier.
Certainly, some sort of cognitive abilities skills should be applied on a case by case basis, but an arbitrary declaration that “75 and done” should not and must not be applied.
