I have an induction cooktop.
Way better than normal electric cooktop or gas.
Flexible like gas but no need for the big hood.
Glass top cools off very quickly unlike normal electric cooktop.

“Flexible like gas but no need for the big hood.”

The hood isn’t for the gas exhaust. It is for the cooking food smoke, heat, and smells.

Flexible like gas but no need for the big hood.

Per the building code, gas ranges don't need hoods or have to exhaust to the outside.

This doesn't make the operation of them without exterior venting safe. The requirements for gas ranges are less stringent than water heaters and furnace. (intermittent operation and dilution)

Not as flexible as gas. Users of gas stoves like to lift and move the pan around in the flame.

That doesn’t work with induction heating.
