How long does it take to prep a robot for surgery?
How much do the robots cost?
How much does it cost to clean and maintenance them?
Especially for emergency surgeries, I don’t think skilled human surgeons have anything to worry about for a while.

No, thank you. Although my PCP verges on the robotic, I have had an experience dealing with a kiosk at a medical facility. It was soulless, dehumanizing and thoroughly debasing.
The poor elderly woman who proceeded me, gave up and left.
Robots will not replace human contact.
AI will largely replace MDs. Primary doctors will become as surplus as whaling captains. Many will retrain as robot-assisted surgeons.
And if something is built into the machine???
I thought of power outages, too.
Taking out the human element is a terrifying thought.
Then again, considering some of the human element we’ve seen recently........
AI in its short sojourn here already, has shown what kind of problems we’re looking at.
Idiocracy, I was going to mention that movie. One could say that because we have Google translate and Siri, no one needs to learn a foreign language anymore. But the benefit of studying a foreign language is that you memorize and repeat thousands of words and phrases. You not only learn, your ability to learn improves. You become more intelligent. A child not exposed to language by age 3 never learns to speak. We should not let AI (which at this point is still quite stupid IMHO) discourage thinking and learning, or Idiocracy will become reality.
