I've been a fan of Liquid Metal Fast Breeder Reactors (LMFBR) and the IFR since I worked as an operator of the Sodium Loop Safety Facility (SLSF) in the 70s and 80s. 1200+ degrees F with a cover gas pressure of 20 psi, no light water reactor can achieve that. Yeah, I never forgave President Peanut for killing the LMFBR program because it made “evil” plutonium. And of course She Who Thought She Should be Queen Hillary sold our uranium mining and enrichment future to the Russians to line her pockets. And the dems claimed Trump was a tool of Moscow.

Bitter, hell yes.

China has got electro grabbing tech for ppb levels if you read the paper behind it ppt levels can be stripped from waters and other fluids.

$83 kg seawater uranium would fundamentally change the world. 1kg of uranium in a fast spectrum reactor is 83610 gigajoules thermal.

That works out to 0.09927042 cents per GJ 9.9/100s of a cent. One GJ is 0.9478 MMBTU which sold for $4.4MMBTU Henry Hub commodity gas price futures Friday. It should be obvious why having Chinese tech that can electro strip uranium from seawater is world altering.

A 1 GW electric reactor on the sea coast moves enough seawater volume in it’s coolant flows 50-100 cubic meters per second. @50 cubic m/s that’s 1.57 billion cubic meters per year. More than enough to fuel itself.

Seawater is 3.3 milligrams per cubic meter, China tested their method on south China seawater directly pumped through it they got 100% recovery rates, boom Bob’s your uncle.

1.57 billion cubic meters of seawater holds 5207 metric tonnes of uranium each kilogram is 83610 gigajoules worth of heat at 550-650C if it’s in a LMFR using supercritical CO2 turbines 42-45% heat to electrons is normal. So one kg of uranium makes 33,440 GJ of electrons or really culombs of current. Which also is 9,290 MWh worth of electricity.

One gigawatt day is 24000 megawatt hours so you need 2.58 kg of uranium make up per day to cover that gigawatt day.

You need 943kg of make up uranium per gigawatt year running 24/7/365 flat out.

The coolant flows are carrying five times what the reactor will consume and that’s at the low end if flows in hot climates it’s 100 M^3 or more per second that’s 10x the uranium needed.

Again this is the way and only fast spectrum reactors can do this. PWR only use U235 at 0.7% natural uranium at 5% LEU fuels and 0.2% tails it takes 7.4 kg of natural uranium per 1 kg of LEU fuel thus 703 kg LEU fuel which at 45GWd/tonne or 45,000MWd/T = 45MWd/kg *703kg = 31,642.54 MWd / 1000= 31 Gigawatt days thermal not electric PWR is 30% steam to electrons. So 10 days worth of fuel.

^^^^^ this should show how important the shift to fast spectrum reactors must be and why that Fing traitor Clinton shut down the IFR that was successful in all merits and would have been the model for a cast global.build out of fast spectrum meltdown proof forever energy. You cannot hate that traitor pedo enough. Oh he is all over the Epstein files bank on that they were bros.
