That’s what I think, too.
Maybe what we’re seeing at the moment, is a kind of decadence brought about by good times (materially). Still, isn’t there a saying that stipulates the following:
Good times create weak people.
Weak people create hard times.
Hard times, however, create strong people.
Strong people create good times once more.
What do you think, Sir? Could history be cyclical, as Aristotle thought similarly so long ago?
here’s the problem:genes. The best of us, the strongest have been wiped away in the endless wars. We are left from generation to generation with weaker and weaker stock. you can only come back from the brink so many times.
It’s like the Great Depression: really smart, hard-working stock. Today, America is a flophouse of the world’s flotsam. I really can’t see this population surprising me. Look at the guys who went to the moon. Can you imagine what the crew would look like today?
