At about 2:30 a.m., a shelter dog named Dawson escaped from his gated enclosure and then used his teeth to open the front door of the animal shelter in West Virginia, slipping quietly into the night.
When staff at Huntington Cabell Wayne Animal Shelter arrived at about 5 a.m. on Jan. 4, they were puzzled to find the front door unlocked.

That was my class theme song at ‘kollege’.
Good dog!
We need smarter dogs in this world. Probably easier than getting smarter humans!
Ours was “School’s out for the Summer”
I have a cat that can open his cage door , when we first got him we would keep him in a cage so the other cat would get used to him but he said nope , I had to use some string ,LOL
Who let the dogs out…woof!
Did Dawson hitchhike home or take a bus?
You moght wanna check you gas levels in the car each morning. The cat might be joy riding at night lol
Doh, sorry, thought you said it could open “garage door”... my brain aint working this am
His name is Rufus. just like ChakaKhans first group.
The article sort of rambles on and on, Im still not sure if Rufus has now been returned to the owner or what.
I had expected to see a Husky or Malinos Shepherd breed.
Both love to escape and wander. They will return to their owners if and when they feel like it
Silly. Cats don’t drive. They don’t have drivers licenses
TPA educated dog!
I knew this would happen. Put it up on the web and other dogs will see it and learn this trick. What have you started !! Rampant jail breaks to follow.
It’s a shame what a certain element of the population has done to the pit bull breed.
Sorry I don’t want to spend several minutes downloading several megabytes of ads and have to deal with them to see the cool dog. It is like giving money to the media.
Lighten up! This is a general chit/chat thread.
Cats don’t drive, they have drivers.
