The Democrats are firing the opening shots

On Wednesday, Renee Nicole Good died in Minneapolis after being shot in a defensive shooting by an ICE agent who had previously been hit by a car in a similar situation. Almost everyone is focused on the specific events of that day rather than what is clearly an escalatory spiral with no endpoint in sight.

Andrea Widburg wrote an excellent post the other day that correctly redirected us to the growing schism between leftists’ grasp on reality and their actions. Not highlighted in this article are the special circumstances that the left has cultivated over the last generation, which have set the country up for an eventual reckoning that increasingly looks like a war between the states.

The Founders always understood that regional differences in taste, culture, society, economics, and more would continue under the framework of a united country. That is one of the principal reasons we have independent states, governed by a system of governors and individual legislatures, rather than an all-powerful federal system. It was believed that common interests would ensure harmonious relations between the states, as their basic proclivities would always align. The Founders never foresaw that artificial constructs would change that commonality of interests. But it has happened!

Democrats can be very crafty. The history of sanctuary cities shows that, while they began in the 80s, it was only in this century that the movement grew and became radicalized, eventually thwarting federal laws and enforcement efforts.

Americans, even law-and-order Americans, don’t like heavy-handed enforcement against citizens. Additionally, America has a history of diverse political thought, giving rise to the current schism between the left and the right.

While the right has generally been more law-abiding, especially in the last fifty years, the left has become more activist. Bolstered by left-leaning politicians, attorneys general and district

If Dems win the mid terms and POTUS in 2028 having a free and open Venezuela may come in handy. Otherwise those of us on the right will be sent to the Gulag or shot in the back of the head.

It makes sense.

He got hit by a car before in the line of duty.

It’s been all over FR, too.

I will defend with my life the right of any state to secede. All parties would benefit from Minnesotastan leaving. 10 less D loons in Congress. What’s not to like? We could deport illegals to Minnesotastan.

There is no such thing as a sanctuary city, and the problem is the Feds pretending that there is.

There is no such thing as a circle you can draw around a city and declare that certain laws within can be ignored.

That goes for immigration law as well as 2E laws, of which there shouldn't be any.

Failure to apply the Constitution over decades and centuries is bound to result in instabilities that lead to social unrest.

Minneapolis, LA, NY, Seattle, need federalization and the laws there need to be enforced.

The lie of 'sanctuary cities' should never have lasted a single day.

Rhetorical question? Lincoln would invade those States and burn their cities.

“…redirected us to the growing schism between leftists’ grasp on reality…”

This is NOT hyperbole. The left literally believes things that that aren’t true. They see things that aren’t really there and that base moral decisions on them. This delusion based “escalatory spiral “ or implacability as I’ve been calling it guarantees bloodshed.

The Dems have a thing for violent insurrection. Its been their tradition since the Civil War.

Well, I don’t forsee a full-blown civil war but definitely look for insurrection activity in certain states that will require the military to intervene. The Democrats/Marxists are not just going to lay down and give up.

Rats play voter emotions like Stradivarii...Collectivism is the fantasy that eventually leads many to Bolshevism. And liberal minds are prone to subjectivism. After all, fantasy is a lot more fun than objectivity.

To paraphrase Churchill, this mental deficiency is a great starter and a terrible finisher...politically speaking. A good example of the stupidity in thinking with one's emotions is the desire of unarmed dolts to take firearms away from armed folk.

Sadly, I have observed in my own family that only bad times can lead besotted emotional types to attempt a realistic outlook.

Dems are doing all they can to keep the cartels operating and keep socialists in office because they need revenue from foreign entities to deep their reelection campaigns floating. Jeffries and Shumer are destroying the dems for money since the illegals have been shut down by Trump.

The public is most likely going to give the House to the Dems.

It is my opinion that our elections are mostly fake and rigged, and have been for some time. The hardcore leftists are in the minority, but "somehow" manage to pull out close win after close win year after year. Voting machines are a disgrace to the concept of free elections. Mail-in ballots are a disgrace to the concept of free elections. We've all seen enough evidence of vote fraud on a massive scale over the last several years, but the propaganda and gaslighting is so thick and so successful, and the people so dumbed-down and dependent, that they refuse to acknowledge that our votes no longer matter.

And good people are discouraged from getting into politics.

There simply aren’t any good choices to vote for.
