Iranian protesters intensified nationwide demonstrations over the past 24 hours, directly appealing to President Donald Trump while chanting anti-regime slogans. Footage published Wednesday showed a protester in Tehran symbolically renaming a street after Trump, while other videos captured handwritten appeals reading, "Don’t let them kill us," Iran International reported.
Holly Dagres, a senior fellow at the Washington Institute, posted the video on X stating, "Since Trump's comments about the Iran protests, I've seen numbers videos of Iranian protesters either thanking him or, in this case, renaming streets after the US president."
The appeals came as demonstrators faced a widening security crackdown, including the deployment of armed units and tear gas near major civilian sites in Tehran.
Exiled Iranian opposition leader Reza Pahlavi said the current unrest represents a historic opportunity to end Iran’s Islamic Republic.
"In all these years, I’ve never seen an opportunity as we see today in Iran," Pahlavi said in an interview aired Tuesday on "Hannity."
"Iranian people are more than ever committed to bringing an end to this regime, as the world has witnessed in the last few days, the level of demonstrations is unprecedented in Iran," he said.

One minute Iranians are the biggest scum on the earth. They chant “death to America”. They oppress their women. They kill American soldier. They need to be blown back into the stone age.
The next minute they are pro-America, MAGA freedom fighters who deserve our support to help overthrow their evil government.
It reminds me of when everyone on here and everyone in Israel said that all the people in Gaza were subhuman and deserved to have their children and women bombed because they voted for Hamas. Then within the snap of a finger everyone said the ceasefire should end if Hamas mistreated the Gazan citizens.

Iran has a large underground Christian popylation.
I hope it’s not going to be like 1989 China where protest was encouraged and then we did nothing when the government cracked down on the protestors. The initial message if that’s going to be the case is, “don’t expect help from here, this is your problem to solve.” Of course Iran cannot threaten the U.S. in ways that China could, so perhaps there will be an intervention in large-scale suppression of protests. I would not count on it though.

The last time I fell for propaganda was when I supported the war in Iraq because I was told by the warpigs that we would be welcomed as liberators and if we just went to war, we would turn Iraq into a western style democracy. The cost of not going to war was the inevitable use of WMD against the U.S.
