Iranians collectively are suffering the most they have ever suffered in five decades, the cumulative impact of the evil regime focusing on spreading extremist Islam, fighting the West, and mismanagement and corruption of every basic need.
But Iranians are not just living under widespread mismanagement; they are living under the cumulative national disaster of millions having been arrested, beaten, tortured, murdered, and disappeared.
There have been protests in the past over the murder of Mahsa Amini in 2022, and more recently, truckers have gone on strike in 160 cities due to a massive increase in prices. For a variety of reasons, these protests did not cause the regime change for which most Iranians are praying for.
But it seems like this time, Iranians are having it no more. The current crisis has exposed new depths of the evil of the Islamic regime. More than ever, and more publicly than ever, Iranians are chanting for the restoration of the Pahlavi dynasty and Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, and for the death of the ayatollahs.
It's a formula that will hopefully bring the pressure needed for the regime to fall and Iran to be free.

No one I knew, who escaped the glorious Islamic revolution, called themselves “Iranian.” They all called themselves Persian. Maybe it’s just where I lived.

I have encountered Persian Jews, Persian Armenians, and self-identified Iranian-Americans. If they are younger and from Muslim families, they say Iranian.
Yes, we had some Iranian couple as neighbors.
He was Christian Armenian from Iran (yes, lots of Armenians found refugee in Iran during the Turkish-Armenian genocide!), she was raised Muslim.
They said that yes, there is death penalty for converting to Christianity in Iran.
There is even death penalty for Muslim woman to marry Christian man.
She said, she can never return to Iran or she would be executed.
However, the repression in Iran apparently spurred quite an interest in Christianity there!
When the regime collapses, i would not be surprised that there appear suddenly millions of Christians in Iran!
Pray for oppressed Christians!
I still remember when the people of Iran welcomed the Ayatollahs in in the Carter years.
They wished for a islamic IRAN and they got their wish, good and hard.
I always felt the children and grand children of those Iranians would hate the Ayatollahs their parents welcomed in.
They are mostly Persians from Iran.
The nation is Persian, long proud nation of king Cyrus the great who conquered among others Babylon and freed the Israelites.
They speak Farsi, and Indo European language related to (among others) Russian, Armenian and Hindu.
Not at all related to Arabic!!!
Arabs conquered Persia in 7th century AD and forced on them Arabic alphabet and Muslim faith!
But they generally do not understand and like Arabs!
Iran is the name of the country. It is actually a racist name meaning literarily “Aryan Nation”.
Somebody not so long ago decided that they really are not like Arabs and created this name to show it!
The original Pahlavi thought that Aryan identification was the coming new thing back in the 1920s-1930s.

They welcomed him mostly not as a Muslim or Ayatollah, but as a leader of the opposition.
There were reasons, why Iranians did not like Shah and why they wanted freedom from his corrupt and oppressive government.
But, unfortunately, they got Islamic dictature instead.
Let us hope, especially for their sake, they will choose right this time!
