I lived in Georgia for four years, and hadn’t heard of this, but why bother changing this when black eyed peas are so inexpensive, for one day per year?

This house eats beans/peas at least once a week. Even the dogs.

Granddad’s family in my Mom’s side; the women and children finished the war in Atlanta, GA.

They know of starvation. Black eyed peas saved them since Sherman burned everything.

My late wife was from Alabama and she insisted on serving black eyed peas on New Year's Day.
