If that’s really a picture of the location of the entry point, then I’ve got some real questions. Most curiously, it looks like that sheet rock was cut, not broken. How does someone from the outside (other side of the sheet rock from where the picture was taken) cut the sheet rock below the top level of those cinder blocks? That sheet rock had to be cut from the inside. Even if they could cut the sheet rock, someone from the outside wouldn’t cut down there, because it doesn’t provide a larger opening to enter/exit.
The other thing, which is only slightly less strange, is that the outlet above the hole is supposed to be anchored to a stud. But there is no stud visible on either side of the outlet in that hole. So the “thieves” cut through a stud to make that hole?!? Who would do that? Only if you can’t see the stud, because you are cutting from the inside. If you were cutting from the outside, you’d cut between the studs.
What is up with the water heater? If you zoom in a bit it looks like it went through a major hail storm. Also, my one bedroom apartment has a bigger water heater.
Odd no hole in the other wall besides that the size of the hole of it they would have to had a child go through it.
