This market will not correct itself because you've got billionaires buying the best bodies leaving the universities with fewer billionair buyers in the dust..you will have 20 competitive schools..that's it..

the only solution is for colleges to drop sports altogether.

You say “ the only solution is…” - there is no problem that needs a solution. Young men making money is not a problem in need of a solution.

Some will drop some sports. At the NJCAA level (no sports scholarships offered, no NIL), women's lacrosse stopped being sponsored as a championship sport in 2024 - some schools have club teams. I expect the end is coming for NJCAA men's lacrosse in 5-10 years as there are only 20-21 teams.

Probably see some sports at the NCAA level being dropped with more frequency as time goes on. The money makers (football, basketball) are the priority. As long as schools can steer clear of Title IX violations related to sports, football and basketball will get most of the attention from schools.
