Shame about Cobb County. When we moved to Atlanta metro in 1999, Cobb County was Gingrich country with a 5% sales tax. We escaped to the NoGa mountains in 2021 and never looked back.

I moved from Tampa to rural NW Tennessee over four years ago, and it has been like moving back to the 1950s. It does, however, require the right mindset.
I do miss the Tampa of 25 years ago, but that was before the mentally ill ascended into power.
