They enabled him.......as tragic as it is they helped create the monster that ended up taking their lives.
I had a stepbrother in a similar situation. My stepmother was constantly giving him money and I’m pretty sure she knew he had a drug problem.
He ened up overdosing early on in the fentanyl epidemic before it was realized how deadly it was.
All she really did was accelerate his demise......it appears Reiner did something very similar.
Any kid dealing with psychiatric problems can tell you the worst place to be is locked up with a bunch of even more insane rich kids and pill pushers.
