The birth, life, and sacrifice of Jesus Christ are the best news and most essential truths we sinners could ever read.
For the moment, push the presents, tinsel, strands of lights, and Santa-adorned decorations out of your mind. Pause and reflect on the significance of this day. It has nothing to do with “Black Friday” sales. It has nothing to do with red-nosed reindeer, talking snowmen, or North Pole elves. It is not about crackling fires, baked treats, or warm cocoa.
This is the day we reflect upon the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is so easy to forget that, isn’t it?
Spending time with family is a good thing. Sending Christmas cards to loved ones is a good thing. Being generous with our money and resources is a good thing. But behind every charitable and selfless act, we must remember that Jesus is the reason for the season.
“And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end” (Luke 1:30-33 KJV).
Two thousand years have passed, and the birth of Jesus Christ is still the most important news story in human history. Yet how many of us take the time to sit down with our friends and relatives to reflect upon the significance of Christ’s birth, life, and death? How many of us pause to contemplate how lucky we are

Wishing a happy and Blessed Christmas to all…..
Two things I don’t like at Christmas; “Happy Holidays” or even worse “Season’s Greetings”, and to see an elaborately decorated house with reindeer and Santa and snowmen, and not one thing that represents the true meaning of Christmas. That may be three things.
