Summer blockbusters are a strategy, but I have noticed nothing big is daring to release against Project Hail Mary in March.

Far more interesting would be a movie of Nikos Kazantzakis’ “The Odyssey, a Modern Sequel”

Wait wasn’t there just an Odyssey about the return home not the journey, and Oddyseus was delusional?

I’d be looking forward to this a lot more if Matt Damon wasn’t in it. He seems miscast.

Hard to beat the 1997 miniseries.

Why would you pick an actor known for playing slow-witted characters — and cast him as the wily Odysseus?

Steely Dan “Home at Last” still the best pop culture retelling of the Odyssey. Every movie ever made of it, except perhaps “The Return”, has sucked worse than Charybdis.

Hahaha...I admit to wishing someone would get this right. I have probably read the book 5-10 times. I watched the last version (”The Return”) and was disappointed.
I hated the interpretation. It made Odysseus seem like a broken, wimpy man, and I never got that from the book.
I hope this one is better.
