While I normally dismiss such stories as fantasies, the behavior of U.S. intelligence agencies vis-a-vis President Trump makes me much more receptive to them.
Vaguely heard of such stuff over the decades. Largely dismissed it — with one exception. I did find some indication that at least one submarine left Germany and reached Argentina. U977 is apparently factual and in 2022 another submarine was found sank offshore Argentina.
This has fueled all the stories, which until this post I thought focused on Nazi gold, not Hitler.
Wouldn’t the soviets have exposed the lie though?
America was much different 75 years ago during a time of protracted war. I would not compare the actions of men during that time(although imperfect) to the actions of the people in our over bloated, corruption infused agencies of today. Tempting, yes, but different times, different stakes, different ethos.
IMHO and Freegards.
P.S. I consider the advent of the Clinton corruption, grifting team in the 1980’s to be the beginning of the current degradation of our civil governmental agencies and processes.
I too laughed when I saw the tabloids in the supermarkets in the 80’s with headlines that Hitler was alive in Argentina and had masterminded the invasion of the Falkland Islands. When the DNA tests proved what the Soviets had claimed was Hitler’s skull was female, I became open to alternative theories of his escape. Upon learning that the U.K. will keep all of Himmler’s documents secret until 2045 makes me question that official narrative as well. The unwarranted secrecy gives rise to “conspiracy theories” that the official narrative is hiding something. Rudolph Hess’s death has long been suspicious too, and I now learn that he received letters from Britain’s King George VI. There were peace talks, and negotiations, and they are still secret.
