I had a great time from 8 to 16 hunting fishing trapping.
Live on a farm with a great trout stream running through it.
Had chores to do but when they were done rod or gun in my hands,
Then things got serious jobs family ect.
I tell my grandkids life is rough then you grow up and it get worse.
MY dad had a welding business. Mostly heavy equipment repairs, but he would take on smaller jobs too. By the time I was 14 I was welding oxy-actylene and pretty good at it too. I was making mini bikes for lots of kids in the neighborhood. We also lived at the last house on a dead end street, which ended with fields and woods and trails through them, perfect for mini bikes. My dad also rented out a building next to his to a high performance engine specialist. I spent a lot of time in his shop and learned enough to be my own mechanic and just loved the sound of a big block with open headers, music to my ears. Oh, the good ole days.
