Only thing that makes sense. A Muslim would have either joined him, or more likely, do what the police did, stand there and watch the show.

Syrian Christians know better than anyone the evil of Islamism. They have seen the horrors up close.

And they fled to the West, only to see naive westerners allowing this to grow here, and especially evil Neo-marxist politicians purposely importing Islamist dregs for short-term gain and political disruption.

It would be enough to make anyone charge a jihadi terrorist also.

Ahmed Al Ahmad sounds very Muslim.

Ultimately, what difference does it make?

He is muslim, he came from Syria, and his father’s name is Mohamed. This is all stupid fake news that makes conservatives look stupid.

Ahmed Al Ahmad is Muslim.

He is the 43-year-old Syrian-Australian fruit shop owner who heroically disarmed a gunman during the December 14, 2025, mass shooting at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, targeting a Hanukkah event. Multiple reliable sources, including family statements and major news outlets, confirm his Muslim faith:

His cousin Mustafa Al-Ahmed told media (including Al Araby TV) that Ahmed attributed his courage to “Allah Almighty.”
Community representatives from the Syrian-Australian Muslim community expressed pride, noting fears of backlash but emphasizing Islam as a “religion of peace.”

Reports from Reuters, The Times of Israel, The Guardian, and others explicitly identify him as a Muslim father of two from Syria (Idlib region).

Some early social media speculation or misinformation suggested he might be Christian (e.g., Maronite), but this was quickly debunked by family confirmations and widespread reporting. His name “Ahmed” is strongly associated with Islamic tradition, further aligning with the evidence.

His actions have been praised globally as heroic and humanitarian, transcending religious or ethnic lines.

Im not saying that I’m certain he is Christian.

Any other source besides Qatar’s ‘al Araby’ and leftist TheGuardian?

What made no sense is that this “hero” - who had reportedly been a police officer in Syria - did not try and subdue the gunman, or shoot him once he took away and even aimed the gun at him. He LET HIM GO! The gunman then went back to his bag, got another gun and calmly resumed shooting at people. The “hero” was only shot later. The whole thing made no sense at all, as if scripted.
