People that are exceptionally good at the use of these techniques have been referred to as 'Spin Doctors'.

The Democratic Party has devolved into an institution that incorporates bizarre values and is the antithesis to the very essence of America’s heritage. One good example is Jasmine Crockett’s statement about Lee Zeldin, Mitt Romney, John McCain, and Sarah Palin taking political donations from Jeffery Epstein. When confronted with the facts that those donations were from a physician and a beverage distributor, her response was: “I never said it was that Jeffrey Epstein”.
In other words, it’s okay to lie and deceive people if it squares with your political agenda.
