Meanwhile, my count for the year is 93 out of my goal of 65. Too bad it only counts the first time I read a book. Then again, I am 66 and had an excellent third grade teacher who motivated me to read.

What’s a book? Is that something like a long text or tweet?

Students are kept away from books that students have traditionaly enjoyed reading. They are racist. Now all the books and stories are about social issues and what is evil about American history.

I was in high school 60 years ago and I never read an entire book.

I’m off this year with 32. I usually average around 50 per year.

I was born in 1947...the baby of the family. My mother taught me to read before I went to kindergarten, and since then, I've been an avid book reader. I regularly read out of four hard or softcover books in the afternoons, and two on my Kindle before I turn out the light in the wee hours of the morning. I read different genres, enjoy historical mysteries, non-fiction history books, horror, etc.
All kids have to do today is get AI to feed them a book report for school, if schools even require them today. This once again proves my point that the internet, and platforms like AI have made people even more lazy than they already were. They don't have to use their brains to create anything anymore. That's why so many of them are ignorant and illiterate.

Funny line on Criminal Minds was when Shemar Moore was asking the brainy Dr. Spenser Reed about how nervous he was lately in a crisis involving him and his girlfriend.
