Nice, when are you going to buy some back? At 75 or 100 paper dollars?
When it drops back about 40% and economic conditions become unstable again. It’s a 6 to 10 year cycle. I hope I’m still around for the next one.
Of course, I could be wrong and it will keep climbing past $100.
Of course, I could be wrong and it will keep climbing past $100.
Yesterday, the largest shorter, JP Morgan removed their huge short positions...
This is a generational PM Bull, ( it started in 2023 if anyone was watching) with many factors converging. Opportunities like this occur only once in a lifetime.
Those that act will prosper beyond all expectations.
What I learned yesterday is that the smelters my local shop uses are no longer accepting silver because they are overwhelmed with the volume created by profit takers like me. I’m not a professional, but logic says the current high price and increase in supply will drive the price down while at the same time decreasing demand. Perhaps those with more knowledge than I are buying at $64 an ounce, but that price will not entice me to buy more.
Another factor that will lag by some time is that silver mining at this price will quickly grow, further increasing supply.
So, my amateur prediction is that silver will level off and drop substantially over the next two or three years. I got the last two cycles right and I hope I get this one too. On the other hand, I could be missing out on a handsome profit. C’est la vie.
Un mentioned is the fantastically large hoard of silver tied up in personal possession. The weight of silver existing on shelves or drawers in the form of flat ware or objects is inestimable.
The present day use of silver tableware is almost non existent. The silverware still exists however. The sterling is there.
In times of old, there were all sorts of foolish eating tools made from sterling silver. They all still exist, never used. No one uses a sterling lobster fork any more. No one uses a sterling cream and sugar set any more. No one uses a sterling baptismal cup any more.
All that old sterling is there and available for mining
